The journey to Calais
We left ourselves good time for the journey home. We entered Austria on 16th August and the tunnel was booked for 4th Sept...Planning to spend 2 nights in most places. Only 1 stop in Austria but what a lovely place..Gschnitz ! The slideshow below does not benefit from captions all images taken at the Museum and immediate surroundings.
After Gschnitz we travelled south on the old Brenner road (vignette free and no EuropeBrucke fee) an easy drive just a few bends dropping down into the Inn valley. Round Innsbruck and on towards the Fernpass and Germany.
Saturday so too much traffic..Anyway to Pfronten . Memmingen Nurtingen Gemersheim Hohenblick camp and finally Pfronsfeld (2 nights in all).
Next to Thiue by the canal in Belgium and then a boatyard at Peruwelz. Our final stop was Richebourg in France, a handy 1.5 hrs from Eurotunnel
