Friday 26th July to Wildberg 75 miles:
So from the Danube water catchment to that of the Neckar.
A small town originally on the hilltop surrounded on 3 sided by the river
2 nights here
Sunday 28th July to Bietigheim-Bissingen 45 miles:
On the Monday we walked up to the Altstadt route
before driving on to Haldheim 65 miles:
The stellplatz a bit unkempt but everything there (except a usable Telephone/internet connection).
We actually prefer such areas ! Here for the Monday and Tuesday.
Wednesday 31st July to Ostheim 100 miles:
A bit of a detour near Wurzburg where we ended up going south on the B19 by coming off "half a junction too soon".
There was also a significant traffic jam (due simply to the volume of traffic, I think)
Again a nice simple stellplatz and a very nice town but again suffering from "no internet"
2 nights here
Friday 2nd August to Eisenach and then Horschel 85 miles:
Lots of too-ing and fro-ing due to road closures and diversions and then several minor "excursions" looking for a suitable overnight. We settled for a small car-park at the end of this route
Interesting in that the route info gives 73 miles but we travelled 85... We also had a little runaround exiting Ostheim and the major diversion is not shown. Here in Horschel full communication again !
Images for the week below.

Saturday 10th to Eschershausen 65 miles:
Nice drive over rolling hills a bit windy.
Stellplatz OK but no great interest however 2 nights.
Monday 12th to Minden via Hamelin (Hameln ?) 50 miles:
Very pleasant easy drive. Huge carpark with several dedicated motorhome spaces. We moved top the furthest one away as it was more pleasant and next to the bridge a very interesting construction in that
a) it is curved horizontally
b) only 1 single tower at each end. The tower itself is inclined so that its top is over the centre part of the bridge pathway and it supports 2 suspension cables which drop to both sides of the pathway. Each tower is kept "from falling" by a significant "sideways cable". A few photos below. Minden itself a very nice town with Altstadt

Wednesday 14th to Hagen 50 miles:
3 nights here...Simple and pleasant enough with a cherry orchard next to us and parking on grass and hard-standing. Several others here but very quiet.
Saturday 17th to Lingen 50 miles:
Between the Emse River and the Ems-Dortmund Kanal. Somewhat similar to Dover road Canterbury but more space electric and water with a washing up sink at every pitch.
Sunday 18th to Emlichheim 30 miles:
Excellent Stellplatz in a nice town..2 nights 5 euros and Leccy at 1 per 2kwh
Vehicle @49000miles today.
Monday at rest in Emlichheim:
Delightful town with Lidl and Rewe and other shops within easy walking distance. Also several restaurants and takeaways
Maybe a convenient stopover if heading to Northern Germany and Scandinavia adds a minimal distance to the most direct route.
